Meet the Team
Dr. Matthew Zaideman, DC, CFMP, FIBFN-CND
Dr. Zaideman has been practicing Functional Medicine and Activator Methods Chiropractic technique at North Florida Spine and Wellness since 2012, and took over the role of Clinic Owner in 2017. He obtained his Bachelor of Arts degree at Florida State University and then went on to obtain his Doctorate of Chiropractic Medicine at Palmer College of Chiropractic in Port Orange, Florida.
Dr. Zaideman uses a multifaceted approach including chiropractic adjustments, soft tissue mobilization, neuromuscular reeducation, custom orthotics, designed clinical nutrition, and rehabilitation exercises, among others. Dr. Zaideman also has special interest in treating Autism, ADHD, Dyslexia and other childhood developmental disorders with cutting edge, drugless functional neurological rehabilitation that focuses on the root cause of these disorders.
Dr. Zaideman is a third generation Floridian growing up in Dunnellon, Florida. He and his wife, Kristin, have two young children. Dr. Zaideman is a huge Seminole fan and Booster, as well as an avid Cubs and Bob Dylan fan! Dr. Zaideman is dedicated to improving the health of the community through drugless, non-surgical intervention.
Dr. Zaideman has additional training in the following Techniques:

- Fellow of the IBFN in Childhood Neurodevelopmental Disorders (FIBFN-CND)
- Certification in Childhood Neurodevelopmental Disorders from the International Association of
- Functional Neurology and Rehabilitation, including 165 hours of advanced training
- Nutritional Response Testing
- Over 300 hours continuing education hours in Advanced Functional Medicine training
Lauren - Licensed Massage Therapist
Lauren is a South Georgia native turned Tallahassee transplant. She received her Massage Therapy education at the Aveda Institute of Tallahassee and has been in practice since 2018. She most recently became certified in CranioSacral therapy, a practice that focuses on relieving tension in the central nervous system to help eliminate pain and provide numerous other health benefits for mind and body.
She is currently pursuing a degree in Food and Nutrition Sciences at Florida State University and hopes to become a Physician Assistant. In her free time, Lauren enjoys creative pastimes such as painting and writing, as well as practicing yoga. She is passionate about helping people achieve their best sense of total body wellness.
Thomas - Health & Wellness Coach
Thomas Sarratt is a Certified Health & Wellness Coach with the American Fitness Professionals & Associates (AFPA). Thomas also graduated from Florida State University with a degree in Political Science.
His interest in optimizing health came about as he was coming to the end of a yearlong recovery from an injury that greatly hindered his ability to exercise with consistency or intensity. Within a few short months of dedicated effort and clear direction, he was able to regain a handle on his health. Because the changes were so dramatic, it prompted him to assist others in achieving their own health goals. Thomas truly believes that most health issues can be corrected or prevented with a diet that supports your individual genetics, a consistent plan for physical activity, and lifestyle changes that support your health goals. Thomas has helped clients at North Florida Spine and Wellness lose weight, gain muscle mass, feel more energetic, and even helped clients correct specific problematic bloodwork results. Thomas attributes his success with clients to keeping things simple and manageable while including some wonderful modern technologies.
Kristin - Clinic Director
Kristin was born and raised in Colorado Springs, Colorado. She relocated to Florida in 2008 for an internship at Flagler College - St. Augustine. Not long after she met Dr. Zaideman while he was in Chiropractic school and they married. Similar to Dr. Zaideman, Kristin also has a passion for helping children of all ages and abilities, and their families. With a background in education and master's degrees in both Clinical and School Counseling, Kristin has worked with children and families for over 20 years.
Kristin is a National Certified Counselor and also teaches at Flagler College in Tallahassee as a Psychology and Career Development adjunct faculty member. Kristin is dedicated to improving the lives of children and their families and loves to connect people with local resources. She also enjoys serving as the Chair of the FSU Center for Autism and Related Disabilities Constituency Board, serving as the Vice Chair for the Leon County Schools ESE District Advisory Council, and volunteering on the Florida Crisis Response Team.
